Aaron and I have been working on experiments with magnets. Our first experiment was where we produced magnetic putty. Once we mixed up the putty recipe we placed a strong magnet to the putty and took a time lapse of how the putty surrounded the magnet. The putty is used to hold the iron in the putty together.

What else have you learned about when it comes to magnets? How do they work? How does something become magnetized or are there only naturally occurring ones? I really liked watching the video of the oozing putty!

The putty looked really cool in the video. How long should you mix the substances together to get a great putty?

Partials in magnets have different poles (a north and south pole) the line up inside of the magnet. I am not sure how magnets are made but I do know that if you leave a magnet connected to any metal for an x amount of time then that metal will temporarily be magnetized.
