Even though my partner Lane and I's boat was not very successful, the cardboard boat regatta was by far my favorite project of the year. People usually view cardboard as scraps, but us in STEAM science and physics viewed it as useful building material. Our plan was to create a barge out of cardboard boxes. We never cut into any of them, we just used two rolls of duct tape. The design did stay afloat on German Ridge lake. The only problem was that we could not seem to get on successfully (just look at Perry Central's website). The boat didn't last to long after we tried hopping onto it multiple times. Lane and I think that if we would have made our boat wider and balanced our weight, we would have had a masterpiece. Instead, we got extremely wet. Here are some pictures of the USS Fracasar.
