For the past couple of weeks, I have been dissecting a fetal pig. I’ve already viewed several organs of the digestive system, as long as the heart, lungs, and part of the brain. Honestly, it is not as disgusting as it seems. You may think that viewing the intestines of a pig that was never born sounds extremely gross. But the texture of it actually has a cool feeling. The kidneys were the most interesting part, because they were much bigger than I expected. They were almost as large as some of the digestive organs. My hope is to eventually remove the brain and the eye, before the odor of the pig is to strong.

This is pretty awesome experience! It's fun to watch the things you learn from the piggy. Is there any specific that you are looking for? Do you think you'll dissect anything else??

I had fun helping you dissect the pig for one day, but I think it was as disgusting as it seems.

Are the kidneys the same portion to the rest of the organs in a full grown pig?

Is there a reason the kidneys are bigger then most of the digestive organs, or is that normal?

I hope that you were able to get a glimpse of how things are made in the body pertain to how to works. When you viewed the inside of the organs, it is obvious that they are not created the same, that's for sure!
